With a hi-resolution 2.9-inch touch screen display, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 1.1, the M1000 is ready to go on WCDMA, GSM, GPRS and public WiFI networks. The M1000 provides features such as international roaming, full Internet browsing and high-quality voice and video communications, as well as the capability to send/receive e-mails to multiple addresses with attached files and viewer for major documents formats such as Microsoft Word and Excel and Adobe Acrobate (PDF). The handset is also Bluetooth-enabled and comes with Personal Information Manager (PIM) software. Regarding Bluetooth speeds, the phone is maxed out at about 30 KB/sec of transfer rate, while the GPRS connection was constantly between 7 and 10 KB/sec. Users can add applications from a library of software targeting Symbian devices. The handset also comes with IPsec VPN (movian VPN 4.0 built-in and a TransFlash card slot for expandable memory). Multimedia formats supported include MPEG4, H.263, WMV ver.8, MP3, AMR, WMA ver.8, and MIDI. It can be connected to a PC via USB2.0 cable and the Bluetooth 1.1. The phone has large numbers, allowing you to type a number with your thumbs. You can select if you want to make a voice call or a video call. The phone application also allows you to block some callers, enable/disable the Caller ID, and it has roaming and call forwarding settings.
